Family, love and devotion are three words that come to my mind when I think of Hector Camacho, Jr. I was his adopted dad and that meant a lot to me. What was just a honorary title at first became an emotional bond between Hector and I. Being part of a family was important to Hector. The family he became a part of loved him very much. To his biological family, please know your father and brother were cherished by us all and we did our very best to take as good care of him as possible.
-
Love was in Hector's life every day. His extended family loved him very much. And the perfect deomonstration of what love really is was evident every day Fernando would help Hector when Hector was ill. A love like that is amazing and to the level we don't see very often anymore.
-
Devotion: Hector was devoted to Fernando and vice versa. Hector's world was a better place due to Fernando's love and determination.

Finally, I'm certain I will see Hector Camacho, Jr. again someday. I got to share the love of Christ Message with Hector. And while Hector was not an overly religious type of guy, he did hold steadfast to his Catholic faith. I believe Hector is up there with his mum and dad and they are cooking tamales a favourite activity Hector often referred to when he would think of his mum. Let us all take comfort in remembering just how Hector was a friend that was generous with his time and thoughfulness. We'll miss the times he had stern words to say to some of us, but overall Hector's sense of humour was a ray of sunshine on may rainy days.

Closing remarks: Please note there will be a celebration of life for Hector at my place located at 3737 E. Calle de Carlos, here in Palm Springs. That begins today at 2:00 p.m. refreshments will be served and a time of reflection as well.
